To coincide with the law reform process, Alcohol Healthwatch and the New Zealand Drug Foundation have joined forces and launched a new initiative called It's our turn to shout. The aim is to encourage and support the wider public to become engaged with the issues and send a clear message to our politicians that it's time for better laws around alcohol.
This is the first significant opportunity in 20 years for individuals and communities to have their say about what sort of alcohol laws will better serve all our interests and reduce alcohol-related harm.
